The Pop Tab Program is a wonderful way to raise funds and public awareness for the Ronald McDonald Charities of Arkoma. The money we collect from the recycled pop tabs directly supports our core programs, the Ronald McDonald Care Mobile in Northwest Arkansas and our new Ronald McDonald Family Room in Ft. Smith!

Currently we are looking for local businesses and orginizations in our region that are interested in helping us collect pop tabs all year long. If you are interested in helping our cause please contact Jennifer Myer at jennifer@rmhcofarkoma.org or Ginger Thompson at ginger@rmhcofarkoma.org.

POP Tab Pandemonium

Since the 1980’s when the “Pull for RMHC” program started, millions of dollars have been raised to support our mission.  Recycling is a wonderful way to educate children on reducing their carbon footprint and it also gets them involved in supporting their community by donating to RMHC.

We’ve started the Pop Tab Pandemonium program in local school districts as a way to get children involved with “Pull for RMHC.”  It is a competition between schools (district wide), or classes segmented by grade (within the schools)- however the school should choose.  Whichever school or class within the school, collects the most pop tabs at the end of the contest will win a Ronald McDonald Party. Ronald McDonald will come to the school and have a party to celebrate the students’ hard work and dedication!

Students, faculty, and staff can all get involved and compete against other schools for the title of “2011 Pop Tab Pandemonium School Edition Champion!”  The contest will end on Earth Day, Friday, April 22, 2011.  Registration is open January 4- March 4, 2011.  The winning school, which will be determined by the highest average pounds of tabs per student, will receive in addition to a Ronald Party; prize drawings and bragging rights!  The school will also be awarded a trophy to display in the office for a whole year.

Why Pop Tabs?

Pop tabs, unlike aluminum cans which also consist of other alloys, are pure high-quality aluminum.   Tabs are also easier to store than whole cans. RMHC has raised millions of dollars through pop tab collections thanks to people all over the world!
